Join us as we dive into the world of invasive plants and how they can disrupt the delicate balance of Lake Ontario’s ecosystem. Register for our upcoming public webinar, Stemming the Tide: Addressing Invasive Plants Around Lake Ontario, taking place on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at 12 pm ET.  

We will provide a comprehensive overview to invasive plant species in Lake Ontario, from identification to ecological impacts. We will also highlight two invasive species of interest, hydrilla and water soldier, both of which are expanding their extent throughout the Lake Ontario basin. You’ll also have the opportunity to ask questions of our experts during an interactive Q&A session and learn what actions you can take to stop the spread of invasive species in Lake Ontario. 

Guest speakers include Catherine McGlynn (New York State Department of Environmental Conservation), Lindsay Yoder (New York State Department of Environmental Conservation) and Mary Gunning, Quinte Conservation.
