The Lake Michigan Lakewide Action and Management Plan (LAMP) is an ecosystem-based strategy for protecting and restoring the water quality of Lake Michigan. This 2021 annual report highlights accomplishments and progress during the past year including outreach, monitoring, and protection and restoration actions. The LAMP is developed and implemented by the Lake Michigan Partnership, which is led by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and which facilitates information sharing, sets priorities, and assists in coordinating environmental protection and restoration activities. The next Lake Michigan LAMP is scheduled to be released in 2022. In the interim, the Lake Michigan Partnership will be assessing the state of the lake, measuring progress and promoting actions to address identified issues.
