Annexes and Issues
The 2012 Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement includes 10 Annexes that focus collaborative efforts on priority issues. Annex-specific sub-committees to the GLEC have been established to assist in the implementation of the Agreement.
Each of the Agreement’s 10 annexes is co-led by one representative from each country. Further, a sub-committee may establish focused task teams to involve key federal, state/provincial, or local partners on specific projects or activities.
Progress in implementing the Agreement, including its annexes, is captured in the Progress Report of the Parties. Annex-specific implementation is a key subject of discussion at each Great Lakes Executive Committee meeting.
