Chemicals of Mutual Concern Binational Strategy for Hexabromocyclododecane

The Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement commits Canada and the United States to prepare and issue Binational Strategies to reduce the release and impact of Chemicals of Mutual Concern. The Binational Strategy for Hexabromocyclododecane (HBCD) Risk Management will be used by the Governments of Canada and the United States with their partners to identify, prioritize, and implement actions to reduce HBCD in the Great Lakes region. This HBCD strategy covers a list of 19 management options to address threats to the Great Lakes by reducing HBCD releases.
