Are you interested in the factors that drive algae growth in Lake Superior and the potential impacts on the ecosystem? If so, mark your calendars for Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at 10 am CT (11 am ET) and join us for a one-hour public webinar, “Nutrients and Algae in Lake Superior.” This presentation is part of our Let’s Talk Lake Superior! webinar series.
Join us as we explore the relationships between nutrients, algae and cyanobacteria and their impact on the lake’s ecosystem. You will learn about tools for exploring the history of cyanobacteria in the lake and about an innovative green infrastructure project in Duluth, Minnesota, that will help manage nutrients in Lake Superior. Audience members will have an opportunity to ask questions to our experts during an interactive question and answer session.
Guest speakers include Bob Sterner (University of Minnesota), Nathan Wilson (Lakehead University), Timothy Olson (Bolton & Menk, Inc) and Carol Andrews (Bolton & Menk, Inc).
This webinar is free, open to the public and recommended for anyone who is passionate about the Great Lakes!
