Posted: November 22, 2023

Our next outreach and engagement webinar will focus on habitat and species in Lake Superior, with an emphasis on Lake Sturgeon. Mark your calendars for Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at 10 a.m. CT (11 a.m. ET) and join us for a one-hour public webinar, “Habitat and Species Protection in Lake Superior,” as part of our Let’s Talk Lake Superior webinar series!

We will begin with an overview of the current state of habitat and species in Lake Superior, highlighting successes and challenges. Next, a panel of Canadian and U.S. experts will focus on one of the lake’s oldest residents, the Lake Sturgeon. We will then answer your questions during an interactive question and answer session.

Guest speakers include Henry Quinlan (U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service), Richard Kavanagh (Environment and Climate Change Canada), Lisa O’Connor (Fisheries and Oceans Canada), and Kris Dey (Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians).

This webinar is free, open to the public and recommended for anyone who is passionate about the Great Lakes!
