Learn about the state of invasive species in Lake Erie at our upcoming webinar, “Aquatic Invasive Species in Lake Erie” on September 28, 2023 at 10 a.m. CT (11 a.m. ET) as part of our Let’s Talk Lake Erie webinar series! 

Join us as we explore the historical timeline of aquatic invasive species (AIS) in Lake Erie and delve into the impacts of AIS on the Lake Erie ecosystem, particularly the fish population. We’ll also provide a project spotlight on the ongoing efforts to control the sea lamprey population in the lake.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn practical steps for combating the spread of invasive species and engage directly with our expert panelists during the Q&A session.

Guest speakers include: Rochelle Sturtevant, Michigan Sea Grant; Bruce Morrison, Fisheries and Oceans Canada; and Jenna Tews, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
