We’ll provide a comprehensive overview on chemical contaminants in Lake Superior and how these contaminants can be transferred into fish tissue. Find out what you should know about PFAS, the “forever chemicals” and their presence in our waters and the ecosystem. We will also hear about a project led by Lakehead Region Conservation Authority that works with First Nations and communities in Thunder Bay, Ontario to provide information on contaminant levels in fish.
Guest speakers include Tana McDaniel (ECCC), Summer Streets (Minnesota Pollution Control Agency) and Michelle Willows (Lakehead Region Conservation Authority).
