In accordance with the 2012 Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement, a draft 2025-2029 Lakewide Action and Management Plan (LAMP) for Lake Michigan has been prepared and is currently available for review and comment.
The draft LAMP was developed by the Lake Michigan Partnership, a collaborative team of natural resource managers led by the United States government, in cooperation and consultation with state governments and Tribal governments. The LAMP for Lake Michigan identifies key priorities and guides the coordination of environmental protection and restoration activities aimed at preserving and protecting Lake Michigan’s water quality and ecosystem health.
