Binational Public Engagement for the
Negotiations to Amend the Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement
Thank you for your interest in the negotiations to amend the Great Lakes
Water Quality Agreement. The Governments of the United States and Canada
have held two online comment periods on this website and invited all
interested partners, stakeholders and the public to submit their ideas
and suggestions regarding a new Agreement. The first period on governance
issues was held in January/February 2010. The second comment period was a
six-week opening that ran from May 28 to July 9, 2010, and offered the
opportunity to comment on all issues under negotiation. Questions and
options were posted on all issue areas for comment.
The comments received during those two comment periods are provided here
as a PDF file for download.

additional information on the status of the binational negotiations. In the
